You will serve as the Project Management Officer (PMO) for the Undersea Weapons Department NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Duties

You will serve as the Project Management Officer (PMO) for the Undersea Weapons Department, and are responsible for the implementation, management and oversight of the Department's project management policies and procedures. You will define and implement processes and practices to efficiently and effectively manage all projects within the Department. You will ensure that acquisition processes are applied consistently across the Department's projects to achieve program objectives. You will apply sound judgment, rigorous and disciplined business acumen and systems engineering principles to the development and execution of applicable technical and business operations. You will manage the integration of new programs of record into the Department and develop execution strategies that will shape the future business base of the department.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-05 (GS-13/14) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing direct technical support to an organization with respect to the implementation, management and oversight of the organization's project planning and execution, and achievement of program objectives. Examples of managing technical projects and teams, ensuring effective project execution, resource allocation, collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing project metrics, and integrating new programs to support department objectives and compliance with Navy regulations...
