You will serve as a Lead Weapons System Project Specialist for the Submarine Acoustics Warfare Systems Branch in the USW SYSTEMS ENG DIV within the UNDERSEA SYSTEM & SUSTAINMENT ENG DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Duties

You will be responsible for the management and oversight of a project tasked to solve complex technical problems associated with the acquisition, installation, configuration management, and sustainment of assigned weapons systems. You will be responsible to provide technical guidance in the development, review and update of associated technical documents, problem formulations, issue analysis, and evaluate and select of courses of action. You will be responsible for task development, cost estimates, financial management and project execution for the assigned project. This includes budget submittals, tracking of cost, schedule and performance. You will be responsible for overseeing and resolving issues related to weapon systems acquisition, installations, maintenance, sustainment, repair and overhaul, technical data management, and integrated logistics management of assigned systems. You will frequently make and implement decisions on program matters such as scheduling, funding, technical efforts, capability, status briefings, and effective project execution.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating acquisition efforts, technical design, logistics, in-service engineering or life-cycle support of a weapon system.
