You will serve as a CRANE ACCIDENT PREVENTION MANAGER in the Lifting and Handling Department (Code 200), Waterfront Support Department (Code200), TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will develop, manage and coordinate through supervisors and managers, the department level assessment , analysis, and improvement of the Commands Weight Handling Equipment Program.
You will manage the efficient use of resources to gather,assess, and analyze data, document, and identify trends in poor crane and rigging practices, and poor crane maintenance work performance, and identify instances of non-compliance.
You will recommend correct action of non-compliance issues and adverse trends, coordinate improvement initiatives, track actions, advise and instruct in support programs and intercept poor rigging, crane operations, and crane maintenance practices.
You will monitor in-process weight handling evolution and work practices such as crane maintenance, inspections, load testing, engineering , WHE training, rigging and crane operations.
You will prepare written materials translating and publicizing the Lifting and Handling Department Head plans and objective on a wide variety of subjects.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience making decisions by interpreting data from to resolve Waterfront Department issues or concerns; Experience applying analytical and problem solving techniques to identify program problems to make recommendations. Experience in rigging and crane operations to provide over-site and direction to team members.
OR
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
