You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT in the COMMAND AND CONTROL SYSTEMS (CCS) DIGITAL REPAIR DIVISION (CODE 720), WEAPONS REPAIR DEPARTMENT (CODE 700) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will be responsible for effective labor-management relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action programs. You will develop and enhance cooperative and mutually supportive military-civilian relationships in the workforce and provide oversight of the CCS DRD civilian and military production workforce through first and second-level supervisors. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates. You will be responsible for continuous assessment of CCS DRD effectiveness and initiatives for process improvement. You will monitor division work product for efficiency, compliance and quality. You will analyze workload projections and requirements; including vessel schedules, maintenance reports, modernization projections, workforce maturity issues and sill mix required in qualifications.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

For GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in submarine maintenance and repair, systems, interrelationships of systems, and operating requirements. Experience in work authorization, Memoranda of Agreement, work breakdown structures, and service requests and use in development of sequencing and schedules. Experience in Navy, major command, and other levels of maintenance engineering program requirements pertinent to development of scheduling maintenance requirements; Experience to writing and speaking concisely and authoritatively. Experience in the application of the full range of managerial abilities in organization, direction, and coordination of activities concerned with scheduling, performing industrial functions, cost control, QA, productivity improvement, training, OSHA standards, and labor relations, as well as human resources management and supervision.
