About the Position: The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods & services vital to the Soldier's mission & well-being.

Duties

Works one-on-one with industry to promote partnering relationships and foster innovation. Directs and coordinates the execution of contracts for long term multi-million dollar programs. Analyzes critical contracting policies to determine compliance with regulatory requirements. Directs the realignment of functions to achieve objectives. Represents customer contracting requirements in conferences with high level civilian and military officials. Provides advise and prepares procurement documents to defend business cases for major acquisitions. Meets with small business and large industrial firms to review progress on contractual work. Performs advanced procurement planning with concerned technical program offices.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.

• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Foundational Certification or Contracting Professional Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
