This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.

Duties

Serve as expert System Applications and Products (SAP) Security analyst and recognized authority responsible for SAP Security Defense Forces Public Security or Human Resource management areas. Develop plans and policies for new systems; evaluate technical developments in the Information Technology field; and; determine impact on present systems and programs. Provide policy guidance to Information Technology management, staff and customers. Support system migration coordination and status reporting, tracks regular maintenance activities, orchestrates annual system outages, and maintains operational tempo and awareness of program priorities and deliverables. Collaborate with the functional teams, the customer, and other system stakeholders for requirements management and alignment with the overall mission and process.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position has an occasional Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement.
• This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

AND Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as: 1 ) applying or adapting new theories, concepts, or methods for application software; 2) preparing and/or reviewing requests for approval for software and hardware acquisition; 3) leading software development in a SAP environment such as (i.e. SAP Defense Force Public Security (DEPS) or Human Resources modules); AND 4) Leading team efforts in the planning, development, operation or maintenance of software programs, practices and/or procedures specifically in financial or logistics systems.
