Duties

As Lead Supply Technician, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Exercise supervisory control for civilian supply technicians. Maintain current knowledge and answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, directives, etc. Initiate procurement of materials, equipment and services suggesting sources of supply Manage classroom services, resident distribution, warehouse operations, and college supply support.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a successful Tier 1 background check throughout the duration of employment.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and annually thereafter.

Specialized experience is defined as: Work which includes maintaining the property book for organizational programs to include interpreting supply policies, regulations, and procedures. Distributing workload and assist to lower graded employees and supports customers. Resolving a variety of supply issues pertaining to materials, technical characteristics of various problems, transportation matters, etc. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting/ProcurementManages and Organizes InformationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
