Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Public Health Advisor, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Providing leadership of continuous quality improvement by advising and coaching division team members, conveying opportunities for improvement to the Division Director and leadership team. Serving as the single point of contact for quality improvement which includes leveraging data to improve division staff learning, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and grant program monitoring and oversight. Interpreting and applying appropriate HHS and SAMHSA guidelines to the division, supporting adherence and compliance.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: Must have experience that provided: Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies and organizations engaged in public health or other health-related activities. Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in State and local settings. Knowledge of a specialized public health program. Knowledge of, and skill in, the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within the framework of a public health or related organization and carrying out specific program functions. Skill in oral and written communication, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials. Minimum Qualifications: In addition to the basic qualification requirement above, you must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following: Leading continuous quality improvement efforts, including advising and coaching team members. Developing and/or advising team members on substance abuse prevention (SAP) grant programs. Planning and conducting analysis, evaluations, and/or studies to explore and/or resolve issues involving substance abuse prevention in coordination with external stakeholder partners. Providing oversight of policies, procedures, and regulations necessary to administer public health programs. Representing organizations at meetings, conferences, and/or gatherings to present organizational mission and priorities related to policies and programs. Planning, directing, implementing, and/or analyzing results of project management evaluations to improve team effectiveness.
