You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Information Resources Division of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will review, formulate, execute, and maintain metrics on the annual budget for the DC I.
You will monitor the obligation and expenditure rates of funds within the approved operation budget to assure funds are properly allocated and spent in a timely and effective manner.
You will conduct mid-year reviews and recommend adjustments such as redistribution of resources.
You will utilize the Defense Travel System, Standing Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting Systems and established accounting practices to ensure complete and thorough analysis of all pertinent information.
You will schedule, run, and analyze various financial system reports, such as daily activity reports, error/reject reports, status reports and other reports as required.
You will independently interface with outside organizations/agencies for the purposes of obtain information for the reporting and oversight of DC I funding.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may requires a 2-Year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This is a Financial Management Level 02 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
1. Budget formulation and budget estimates;
2. Reviewing budgets, analyzing budget controls;
3. Knowledge of financial management regulations;
4. Presenting and defending budget estimates;
5. Experience with DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution, and Audit (PPBEA) or Intelligence Program Budget Submission (IPBS); Experience working with a financial team and supporting program managers.
