Joining the Secret Service, Office of Investigation, Criminal Investigative Division will allow you to be the authoritative resource for issues pertaining to criminal investigative programs' budgets, financial management, and program assessment. Duties

The selectee will serve as a Financial Management Analyst (Asset Forfeiture) in the Office of Investigation, Criminal Investigative Division. Typical work assignments include: Developing and maintaining various computer applications to track the status of financial transactions through the division including seized and forfeited monetary assets. Implementing and managing financial policies, plans, forms, systems, and procedures that enhance the division's overall financial development. Managing all accounts for general ledger, costs, obligations, and expenditures. Overseeing and managing the quarterly and year-end reconciliations and annual roll forward of cash and monetary instruments for seized and forfeited property. Advising and providing financial guidance to field offices and contractors on all financial inquiries; resolving issues and discrepancies concerning disputed differences in payment allocations or timeliness of payments.

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962.00) if you possess one f ull year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: Utilizing financial management and accounting techniques to address financial management, accounting, and/or budget issues; Advising stakeholders on budgeting and financial program information; and Monitoring financial and budgetary action data (e.g., requests, obligations, expenditures, reimbursements, deposits) to ensure alignment with program plans and/or procedures. NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
