You will serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist with the NAVAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE (NCIS).

Duties
Interpret Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy to support management in EEO related matters.
Attempts to resolve EEO complaints at the informal stage.
Provide functional expertise in the area of EEO discrimination complaints to support employees and management.
Inform employees of their rights and responsibilities regarding EEO allegations.
Analyze and process complaints by providing guidance based on regulations and guidance from EEOC, DoD, and DON.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
FOR GS -11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Interpreting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies/procedures, laws or regulations; Processing informal/ formal complaints and ADR requests. Utilizing automated systems to input data related to EEO complaints; and assisting with creating correspondence and related case documents according to procedures.
FOR GS -12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Interpreting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies/procedures, laws or regulations; Performing counseling and/or advisory services to supervisors and employees; and gathering and performing analysis of EEO workforce data for reports.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
