You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (VERTICAL TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT) in the Facilities Management and Sustainment Division, Public Works Directorate of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will be required to perform work on major projects for numerous regional activities; furnishes technical advice to engineers on maintenance, design, and repair problems; analyzes VTE failures and deficiencies; and assesses program effectiveness. You will be required to conduct regular and recurring field inspections, investigates or surveys or facilities that may be undergoing constructions or repairs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current VTE Inspection (NAVFAC or NAESA) license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Applying engineering methods, principles and practices towards Vertical Transporation Equipment projects; 2) Using personal computers and data management software; and 3) Developing and presenting written and oral technical and non-technical information.
