Duties
Serves as the Program Manager for the Visitor Program.
Prepares or oversees the development of activity level briefings and presentations to higher headquarters officials, deploying military personnel, visitors, foreign dignitaries, and other high level government officials.

Coordinates all historical activities within the activity with the Public Affairs Office and other organizations as required.
Evaluates and verifies historical facts prior to formal written documentation or publication of historical information.
Serves as the lead/focal point for external award solicitations and submittals.
Develops and administers the activity policy and prescribed standards to ensure quality products of an administrative nature are prepared and delivered to our customers.
Serves as a team leader providing guidance and assistance to lower graded analysts in support of all the administrative functions in the Business Office.
Establishes and maintains communications with appropriate staff within DLA and DLA Logistics Information
Services ensuring knowledge transfer to advance and sustain mission requirements.

Qualifications
To qualify for an Administrative Program Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Thorough knowledge of organization, programs, missions, and functions in DLA Logistics Information Service functional operations.
Knowledge of administrative regulations and procedures to conduct activity's liaison programs insuring that diplomatic and protocol requirements are met.
Ability to identify areas requiring improvement, isolate and define problems, formulate, and recommend solutions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with dignitaries.
All aspects of the social events and conferences planned by the incumbent must be evaluated to assure the needs of the visitors and Director are met.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
