This position is in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, IT Disaster Operations Division, Disaster Response Branch, Disaster Engineering Section. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience assisting in a wide range of information technology projects, providing policy guidance and direction pertaining to the implementation, execution, maintenance, and evaluation of IT systems. What will I do in this position if hired? In this IT Specialist position the primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a technical lead supporting the mission to extend critical voice, data, and video capabilities into temporary field offices. Typical assignments include:

To qualify for this IT Specialist position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: - Refurbishing and installing network infrastructure IT equipment in various environments. - Presenting and exchanging data, discussing technical issues, and recommending solutions to leadership. - Leading IT projects pertaining to the testing, implementation, execution, maintenance, and evaluation of IT system Selective Placement Factor: In addition to the above specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
