The ideal candidate for this position you will work as a member of the Office of Chief Information Offier (OCIO), Headquarters team.  In this capacity, you will manage staff who perform duties involving the development, management and implementation of IT plans; provide oversight of a variety of projects, including multi-functional programs and technical projects.

Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.   To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level (starting salary $132,368), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Develops and synchronizes agency data management requirements to ensure alignment and integration of information technology to ensure optimal use of information technology resources; Prepares and evaluates results of special studies, identifies problems, addresses user concerns, and resolves complex issues related to and in support of the IT planning process; and Oversees IT systems planning goals, strategies, objectives, measures, and metrics pertaining to agency standards to ensure staffing can meet set guidelines. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.  Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
