You will serve as a SUPERVISORY EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAIRTECHDATAENGSERVCOM NATEC SAN DIEGO, CA NATEC DETACHEMENT MIRAMAR of NV AIR TECHNICAL DATA AND ENGRG SVC.
Duties
You will identify development and training needs of NCTS personnel.
You will ensure technical services are satisfactorily performed in a timely fashion.
You will provide technical assistance, coordination, and plans for establishment of a test equipment calibration and repair facility.
You will develop procedures and training courses required to meet a technical demand in an extensive area such as squadrons or Naval stations.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: specialized experience:
Provide training to personnel engaged in the operation, maintenance, and installation of equipment.
Identify Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) deficiencies at the customer level and provides advice to the cognizant Fleet Support Team (FTS), Integrated Product Team (IPT), or other life-cycle support, aircraft component or support equipment system.
Prepare technical reports, recommend corrective actions, visit other fields activities to provide advice, and instructions, determine need for plans and conducts technical investigations.
Prepare or assist in the preparations of Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) and Technical Publication Deficiency Reports (TPDR).
