Duties
Serves as the Customer Account Manager (CAM) and the military service team's primary representative to oversee Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Headquarters (HQ) wide support to the Warfighter.
Leads a team that includes DLA Customer Support Representatives (CSR) located at multiple sites, which could include military service inventory control points, major military Service installations, or other selected Service locations.
Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, products and services.
Identifies, distributes, and balances the workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; adjusts and accomplishes the workload in accordance with established priorities.
Provides the strategic link between the military warfighter, DLA Headquarters, and DLA Major Subordinate Commands (MSC).
Acts as DLA's corporate face to the assigned customer components, coordinating the full resources and capabilities of DLA to provide comprehensive customer support.
Tracks established metrics and customer profile data for segments and makes recommendations on improved metrics as appropriate.
Responsible for strategic-level management and oversight of all DLA support to its stakeholders, based on the parameters established by the Performance Based Agreements (PBA) and Service-level Memoranda of Understanding/Agreement (MOU/A).
Identifies the need for new or modified areas of support to advise the NAM and others of potential changes in future agreements, or to recommend changes in DLA support capabilities.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Lead Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-14 your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after- competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Following logistics support: planning, scheduling, disposal and reutilization, hazardous material handling, distribution, transportation, storage and stockage, logistics information, order fulfillment, discrepancy reporting and returns process, procurement, contracting, production, finance, requirements determination and other collaborative demand planning, provisioning cataloging and logistics data and information in order to provide logistical assistance to and negotiate service agreements with customer by customer segment and component need.
Forecasting and planning methodologies to assist customers with long-range planning and forecasting during negotiations for segment agreements.
DOD long-range planning process, strategy and priorities as they apply to logistics.
DoD logistics management systems and service systems required in order to act as the DLA focal point on logistical matters and problems posed by the customer
