The Primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Special Access Program security specialist, providing expert technical advice in the complex area of security for special access programs. to include personnel access management, classification management, security violation management, and security education and awareness training.

DUTIES:
Plans, organizes, and directs Special Access Program (SAP) security for assigned directorate programs/activities, its facilities and acquisition program systems, that support advanced or special programs and SCI material, at contractor and other government locations ensuring that all elements of protection complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs throughout the program.
Performs duties as the Government SAP Security Officer. (GSSO) for assigned programs/activity as defined in AF and DOD guidance. Incumbent is the lead security representative for SAP security management. Coordinates with AFOSI PJ Program Security Officer to create a secure environment to facilitate the successful development and execution of assigned SAPs, regardless of location. Conducts inspections for assigned location as well as contractor locations where assigned SAP is managed/maintained.
Maintains security oversight of special access programs. Develops operating standards for Special Access Program facilities and provides technical expertise to senior level personnel on interpretation, clarification, and implementation of SAP directives. Manages accesses for SAP efforts and provides guidance associated with handling, control, access, and safeguarding of such information.
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various oversight organizations as well as government customers and contracted organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with these organizations. Meets with key customer and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
Additional Information:
The Physical Security Specialist will be the Security SME/Site Security Manager overseeing security operations inherent in the construction of ICD 705 compliant facilities for the B-21 Raider SPO, Tinker AFB, OK.
The Physical Security Specialist will be responsible for daily site security administration and enforcement, creating Concept Validation Requests (CVRs) and Construction Security Plans (CSPs), reviewing design specifications, preparing accreditation packages for AO review/approval, review/prepare facility and TEMPEST diagrams, and other essential ICD 705 required documentation.
The physical security specialist will conduct and document security inspections during the construction process to ensure compliance with the CSP. The Physical Security Specialist will report directly to the B-21 Tinker Security Site Lead, Tinker AFB. OK
The Physical Security Specialist can expect occasional travel per year in support of the B-21 Enterprise.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Expertise in program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security
concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
Extensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of
oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices.
Expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and
improve the security program for the Center Commander.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to
a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF
acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base
security organization, operations, and management practices.
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
