You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS WING ONE
Duties
You will oversee the commands functions and personnel, and manage the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS).
You will authorize and direct the issue of material and equipment to assigned units.
You will manage the operation of the commands (EKMS) account as related to material, equipment, and training of all users.
You will authorize and direct the issue of communication security material and equipment to assigned units.
You will schedule and conduct periodic COMSEC inspections as directed.
You will execute the development, formulation, installation, and management of all technical and administrative policy and systems related to COMSEC.
Monitor the inventory of COMSEC material at watch stations to ensure compliance with required internal accountability safeguards.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position requires the ability to lift/carry 50 pounds.
Qualifications
For the GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) security policies and procedures to resolve communication security (COMSEC) issues and manage resources or material for a (i.e., personnel, physical or information) security management program.
