About the Position: This position is the Deputy GX for Task Force 40-25, US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Maintain direct contact with Task Force and adjacent unit staff and liaison officers as required to ensure operational requirements are satisfactorily processed and answered.
Apply a thorough knowledge and understanding of the organization and staff management processes of the GX Directorate; serve as the GX Deputy to manage actions and tasks.
Keep leadership involved to facilitate the timely and accurate identification of Directorate responsibilities in connection with the execution of actions.
Perform the full range of operational and GX project management functions with responsibility for the effective and efficient program operations in accomplishing the GX Directorate and Task Force mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is subject to perform temporary duty up to 10%.
- This is a drug testing designated position and requires the incumbent to complete a drug test examination prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Analyzing training plans, exercises, operations, and procedures according to established doctrine and standards) ; 2) Briefing Command staff and Leadership on current operations, improvement, and training needs; 3) Preparing various complex and diverse projects related to Programming, Force Structure, Combat Development or Operational Testing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next/second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
