You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Network) in the Information Technology and Cyber Security Department, Network and Infrastructure (Code 109.12) of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will support the Network, Data Center, Cable Plant, and all network infrastructures used to support the mission of PSNS and IMF.
You will direct, plan, and manage a variety of different occupational specialties to include specialized areas of support for desktops, laptops, zero/thin clients, printers and server datacenters.
You will perform a full range of supervisory and managerial functions involving network engineering, program management and other technical support as required.
You will accomplish work through combined technical and administrative direction of subordinates and related managerial responsibilities.
You will manage all of PSNS and IMF owned network hardware and software assets as well as non-enterprise services. for
You will provide specific support to include technical refresh (from datacenter to desktop), account management, network management, cable plant management, datacenter management support.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (#44-Net-Ops Spec), proficiency level-Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require some bending, stooping, climbing multiple level ladders, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a government issued passport.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing and directing network operations and desktop support; leading network projects; and coordinating and resolving enterprise network and desktop issues.
