This position is part of the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will support the Assistant Director (AD) for Response Preparedness and Support in the areas of budget planning and execution, procurement and acquisition and business administration.

Qualifications
GS-13 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Assisting senior analyst with analyzing project management and project execution activities to ensure compliance such as established planning, project management, project execution policies, procedures and recommending corrective actions or improvements.
Administering and coordinating budget administration services or programs.
Utilizing quantitative methods to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization's programmatic or administrative processes.
GS-12 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Performing acquisition and technical functions in order to meet mission needs and objectives.
Researching and interpreting program related laws, regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
Analyzing management information requirements to operate program or administrative reporting systems.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
