Is located in the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dom Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Columbia, South Carolina. The duties and responsibilities are carried out in the Veterans Transportation Program (VTP) of the Business Office, which collaborates with the VTS Mobility Manager for transportation workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, and modification of processes. evaluation and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Transportation Services program.
Duties
Daily responsibilities include collecting, compiling, and tracking data and statistical information in support of the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS).
Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
To collate incoming data from a variety of sources.
Review documents reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies and ensure data entry is complete and accurate.
He/she enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system.
Receive; DSS extracts to verify that the workload being captured in DSS is correct. Maintains an automated system of program-specific data to track items such as service project milestones, progress reports, clinic trends, program trends, performance measures, and compliance strategies.
Coordinate service practices that decrease waits and delays for patients in all specialty areas.
He/she u1ilizes the Veterans Health Information System & Technological Architecture (VISTA), computerized Patient Record Systems (CPRS), or SharePoint
Consult/Request Tracking System in processing internal transportation consultations.
He/she provides procedural support: in administering quality monitors to be utilized in the internal consultation process to measure the success of efforts to provide seamless care and to support the education of staff in the proper of the electronic record, to include internal consultation processes.
Assists the Mobility Manager in planning and directing programs that provide VTS support services functions.
Review workload types in Veteran Transportation Service - e.g., outpatient clinic visits, surgical admissions, etc.
Daily validate program workload and ensure reporting is accurate.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/29/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade at any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one year of time-in-grade. Will be exposed to stressful working situations that require a professional attitude and collective reasoning. The incumbent is subject to a high volume of work, the need for accuracy, frequency of interruptions, and ever-changing demands due to program changes.
