Duties
You will assist subordinate commands as necessary with training on Defense Travel System (DTS) roles and processes and application of travel regulations and policies.
You will conduct liaison with Consolidated Travel Office for arrangement of travel to localities in/out CONUS.
You will ensure vouchers are correct and comply with applicable Federal and agency regulations (i.e Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), Joint Travel Rgulations (JTR), etc.) prior to submission to the Disbursing Officer for final payment.
You will provide expert technical travel and Defense Travel System (DTS) guidance to personnel throughout the travel authorization and voucher review.
You will support the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program execution as the Agency Program Coordinator for assi8gned customer groups.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position requires call back and emergency overtime.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within the prescribed timeline.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: implementing the travel program across assigned customers within the organization and performing all elements related to the administration, accounting, certification and application of travel including authorizing travel authorization and certifying travel vouchers.
GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with processing of travel payments, examining travel vouchers, and conducting administrative maintenance of data for completeness and accuracy.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree.
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
or
