You will serve as a Range Controller in the Range Operations Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will be responsible for the safe de-confliction of live fire and non-live fire air and ground training events.
You will be designated as medical evacuation coordinator, serving as communication conduit between units operating within the range complex and emergency response agencies.
You will be responsible for the accurate collection of daily range, training, facility, airspace, and sea usage data.
You will be responsible for the execution of the daily training schedule and coordinating real time scheduling.
You will assist in exercise and training event planners on the conduct of training.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning complex military training operations with a knowledge of military tactics related to the management of ranges, facilities, and weapons systems to ensure combat readiness.

Education
Education may be substituted for Specialized Experience for the GS-11 level as follows:
Ph.D.or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of education and experience that when combined equals 100%.
