You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will identify negotiated assurance levels achieved in satisfying applicable security policies, standards and requirements for senior level management and authorizing officials.
You will evaluate and approve security requirements relative to capabilities of new information technology and interpret patterns of non-compliance to determine their impact, levels of risk and/overall effectiveness of the enterprise's IA program.
You will facilitate and direct implementation of IA certification and accreditation test events and documentation of system body of evidence.
You will evaluate as appropriate all service level agreements between internal and external stakeholder to ensure areas of responsibility are crystal clear.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Security Control Assessor, proficiency level III the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Assisting in the design, strategic implementation, standards and evaluation (certification and accreditation) of compartmented and complex multi-level Cross Domain System (CDS) solutions (operating at protection levels 3 and 4 respectively);
Working in security planning, assessment and risk analysis/management;
Supporting government enforcement of system design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
