About the Position: Serves as the Chemical Materials Activity (CMA) Supervisory Program Analyst for the Strategic Initiative Group, and as the principal strategic communications planner and engagement advisor to the CMA Director.
Duties
Perform quick reaction studies, analysis, and professional writing.
Apply a working knowledge of research methodologies, coupled with a high level of expertise in technical writing and editing skills to incorporate historical and factual analysis.
Routinely leads and directs working groups and teams.
Organize, lead, and facilitate short-termed operational process teams that address organizational inefficiencies.
Prepare employee performance appraisals and position descriptions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY travel is occasionally required. Incumbent may travel on commercial and military aircraft.
- Incumbent required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
- May be required to complete a one year supervisory probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: analyze primary source material to ensure accurate briefings; review emerging policies, plans and directives; develop, coordinate and facilitate senior leader engagement strategies; coordinate and direct activities for knowledge management, public affairs and records management functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
