This position is located in the Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). CAVHS is a two division medical center with medical, surgical, psychiatric and rehab inpatients and a large outpatient program. The Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) have offices in both divisions. The incumbents of this position utilize the Graphic User Interface (GUI) Version of the Prosthetics Application Suite, Prosthetic Inventory Package (PIP).
Duties
Duties:
Maintain stock levels for authorized items including equipment, property, publications, and forms.
Reviews stock records to make sure that stock nearing depletion is replaced.
Determines replenishment for common, nonrecurring or items not previously ordered, such items associated with new workload, one-time modifications, or one time special projects.
Determines stock replenishment for supplies and other materials within funding limitation.
Generate Barcode labels for each item in stock.
Maintain Prosthetic inventory in multiple sites using both the Prosthetic Inventory Package (PIP) and the Generic Inventory Package (GIP).
Processes supply transactions such as receipt, shipment, and/or adjustment documents.
Updates "on order" records using clear cut information from requisitions, contracts, shipping documents, etc.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 08:00 am- 4:30 pm (subject to change based on the needs of the agency) Position is at the the North Little Rock Facility

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/21/2024.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-4 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Experience conducting physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock and records of inventory and purchasing stock.
Experience communicating orally and in writing with a variety of people.
Experience with computer programs, i.e.: Microsoft Office Suite. OR
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have four years of higher level education above high school. (transcript required) OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. (Transcript required) .

Physical Requirements: The work is not primarily sedentary. The employee may sit comfortably to do some elements of work. There will be some walking, squatting, kneeling, standing, bending, carrying or moving light to moderately heavy items. The employee will use likely dollies and pallet jacks.
