About the Position: This position is located at Little Rock Air Force Base in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Duties

Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized supply items based on usage, inventory, project demand, seasonal demand, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. Conduct extensive and exhaustive research of catalog information to locate more cost effective, available substitutes and new products. Identify and resolve discrepancies for urgent, critical shortage items requiring specialized procedures and efforts. Use an automated system to input screening requests to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers. Perform document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions. Maintain liaison with customers and other local offices to ensure effective and timely handling of urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. Review files ensuring accurate coding and deletion of outdated materials.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
• This position may require the incumbent to work during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
