About the Position: The Plans, Analysis & Integration Office (PAIO) is the Garrison Commander's staff element for strategic and management planning for the installation. The PAIO provides oversight of assigned programs; conducts analytical reviews; monitors Army baseline standards; captures and enables implementation of best business practices; and identifies, tracks, and orchestrates reporting of performance measures.
Duties
Serve as a Management and Program Analyst for the US Army Aberdeen Proving Ground Garrison Plans, Analysis and Integration Office (PAIO).
Plan and advises on implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches of substantial scope, difficulty, and complexity in areas of productivity, quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Represents the garrison in meetings with staff officials. Maintains contact and liaison with governmental, scientific, academic, and/or business institutions on matters relating to assigned programs.
Applies administrative laws, policies, regulations and applicable precedents affecting the use of program and related support resources including agency mission, program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting in organizational productivity, quality management, and/or continuous improvement initiatives activities (such as strategic readiness, performance management reviews, commercial activities, suggestion programs, etc.); 2) conducting continuous improvement studies and/or surveys; and 3) participation in project management activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).
