You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Supply Material Support Division, Supply Department, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine.
Duties
You will manage employees who process standard and non-standard Job Material Listings (JMLs) and expedited buys.
You will support project teams during the availability through the mitigation of material issues and ensure all material needs are met prior to the project need date in support of the on-time delivery of ships and submarines executed by PNSY.
You will serve as the primary liaison for PNSY with the supply chain to ensure all material required for repair and alteration of ships during availabilities is ordered and sourced correctly to support production schedules.
You will develop and initiate administrative procedures and controls to ensure the material requisitions are processed in an orderly manner within time and budget constraints.
You will assign work, provide technical guidance, personnel, performance and position management; interview/select candidates for vacancies; recommend promotions and awards; resolve disciplinary issues and administer EEO policies.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Mastery level experience with general supply program management and application of supply policies.
Expert level experience with various areas of supply support including material sourcing, life cycle logistics, procurement, contracting, requirement development, budgeting, and audit readiness.
Mastery level experience with the concepts, principles, and practices of material support to serve as the supply department authority on both shipyard material quality and material support.
Experience performing supervisory duties such as assigning and prioritizing work; providing technical guidance, personnel, performance and position management; identifying training needs; interviewing/selecting candidates for vacancies; recommending promotions and awards; resolving disciplinary issues and administering EEO policies.
