You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will work closely with the Research Development Group (RDG) Business Office on a regular basis.
You will assist in providing financial management advice and guidance regarding financial regulations, policies and procedures to the D5J Department Head.
You will assist in managing a variety of funds such as Production Overhead, Section 219 NISE projects, and direct funding
You will be responsible for extracting information from financial systems and creating reports in Excel ranging from simple to complex.
You will be responsible for assisting in preparing and creating budgets, financial projection, analyze, interpret, and evaluate data. Will assist in identifying anomalies for correction and compiling various data calls.

- This is a Financial Management Level 01 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

At the DA-04 Level:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Financial Management Analyst. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Independently extracting data from automated systems and formatting into reports; (2) Providing financial analysis and advice in support of budgets and funding plans; (3) Independently tracking funding, validating expenses, reviewing transactions in accounting system, and reconciling accounts; and (4) Making recommendations for financial data corrections.
At the DA-03 Level:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07/08) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Financial Management Analyst. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Extracting data from automated systems and format into reports; (2) Assisting with financial analysis and interpretation and evaluation of funding plans; (3) Assisting in tracking funding, validating expenses, reviewing transactions in accounting system, and reconciling accounts; and (4) Assisting in making recommendations for financial data corrections.

At the DA-04 Level:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., if related
At the DA-03 Level:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., if related
