This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Office of Foreign Assets Control. As a Government Information Specialist (Senior FOIA Reviewer), you will be conducting quality assurance reviews of all of OFAC's disclosure cases processed pursuant to the FOIA.

Duties
As a Government Information Specialist (Senior FOIA Reviewer), you will:
Serve as the Senior FOIA Reviewer conducting quality assurance reviews of the Office of Foreign Assets Control's (OFAC) FOIA and PA documents and information.
Ensure that all FOIA and PA cases processed by other Government Information Specialists are processed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and guidance.
Assist with the preparation of the Annual Report to Congress, as well as strategic planning and other duties as deemed appropriate by the ADID.
Perform analysis of FOIA and PA matters, policies, and regulations in relation to the quality assurance reviews performed, and develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of the quality review process, including the development of criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
Assist the ADID in updating OFAC staff on legislative changes, and in working with Chief Counsel on legal questions regarding the impact of the applicable statute(s) and applicable Treasury regulations on the release of requested information, and draft recommended responses to such requests.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Implemented processes supporting agency-wide compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act programs; AND
- Conducted cradle-to-grave reviews of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests; AND
- Serving as an advisor and technical expert on Federal disclosure requirements.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
