About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist assigned to the Supply Services Division, Logistics Readiness Center, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, U.S. Army Sustainment Command, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Plan, direct, and execute the ammunition management program.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of the ammunition program toward meeting established goals and makes adjustments in objectives, work plans, or schedules.
Determine the need and develop plans for organizational/operational changes which may have considerable impact on operating costs, division structure, or installation ammunition support operations.
Determine resource requirements to support the ammunition management program and account for their efficient use.
Serve as the technical advisor for ammunition management, representing the director in meetings and conferences concerning the receipt, storage, issue, shipment, and requisitioning of ammunition and explosives.
Develop guidelines and standing operating procedures for the management of ammunition and explosives.
Direct, coordinate, or oversee work of supervisors, leaders, team chiefs, group coordinators, committee chairs, and other personnel.

- The incumbent will be required to possess or obtain and maintain ammunition certification within agency mandated timeframe.

- This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires the incumbent to be subject to on-call and irregular work hours.
- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to wear safety equipment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
