About the Position: This is a permanent position
Duties
Plan, direct, coordinate and review work of personnel engaged in providing supply operations and field level maintenance support to organization.
Direct employees and control assigned shop stocks with responsibility for insuring adequate materials/supplies meet customer demands.
Establish, maintain and revise stock objectives and appropriate stock levels.
Coordinate with multiple contacts to facilitate effective management of assigned stock, assure timely distribution and to clarify discrepancies and resolve supply issues.
Perform first level supervisory functions.
Provide equipment utilization information to Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and TRADOC units.
Utilizes Tactical Enterprise Logistics Systems such as Global Combat Support System-Army.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and may require an annual examination thereafter.
- This position requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid State driver’s license is required and must be maintained for the position. The incumbent may be required to obtain a government driver's license.
- This position is subject to provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban (Lautenberg Amendment). This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Up to 5% Business Travel may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) performing duties involved in supply operations and program requirements such as receipt, issue, storage, turn-in of supplies utilizing automated logistics management system, such as Global Combat Support Systems-Army; 2) ensuring adequate materials/supplies to meet requirements; 3) applying established supply policies, regulations and procedures in the management of supply operations; 4) analyzing and resolving supply discrepancies; 5) performing research and review of authorized stocks and leading others in same work unit. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
Education
