The primary purpose of this position is: To provide oversight and guidance for and serve as a senior Air Force Staff level expert, technical advisor for the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Operations and Air Force Information Network {AFIN) to include planning, programming, and budgeting and execution (PPBE), strategy, and policy management space Operations and Warfighter Communications.

Duties

1. Plans, organizes, and directs the DoDIN Ops and AFIN Sustainment Program activities ensuring that DoDIN Ops and AFIN Sustainment guidance, policy, strategy, and complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. 2. Applies Air Force cyberspace operations and DoDIN Ops and AFIN Sustainment experience, develops, analyzes, and evaluates detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation of Air Force DoDIN Ops and AFIN Sustainment initiatives and other assigned programs. 3. Represents the organization with a variety of Department of Defense, Headquarters Air Force and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with DoD-CIO, SAF/CN, US Space Force, MAJCOM A6s, 16 AF, and other organizations as required. 4. Prepares and presents high level briefings to stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

***Salary Ranges includes local market supplement*** This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Knowledge of performance characteristics of cyberspace equipment, systems, services, and transmission media to evaluate new devices, proposals, and approaches. 5. Ability to research patterns to develop new methods, criteria or proposed new cyberspace policies and procedures. Ability to analyze, plan and adjust wmk operations to meet program requirements and objective within available resources. 6. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer, as well as, develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques via various software programs. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiates complex issues; establish and maintain good working relationships with key individuals/groups outside the immediate work unit and advises others. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
