This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. Incumbent serves as one of several System Analysts within the DSSC which involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.

Duties
As a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Project Management and Implementation Oversight: Manage projects within DSSC, ensuring adherence to project management practices, quality control, and timely implementation of new information systems.
Analytical Support and Process Improvement: Provide analytical support for projects and studies, consulting with customers to identify program requirements, and recommending solutions for process improvements.
Business Process Reengineering and Problem Solving: Lead business process reengineering efforts to achieve DHRA mission objectives, solving complex problems through critical thinking and project management skills.
Technical Guidance and Compliance Assurance: Provide technical guidance for software development projects, data quality assurance, and compliance with DoD methodology and cyber security regulations, including RMF activities.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Respond to requests for information and support from all levels of the organization, including senior-level managers, and communicate findings and recommendations in assigned areas of responsibility.
Documentation and SOP Maintenance: Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and other relevant materials to support data and application management within DSSC.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Provide guidance for planning, organizing, and executing software development projects using No-Code, low-code or SaaS products;
Gathering and document business requirements, defining specifications, documenting processes and the standardization of data and processes as a Project Manager;
Develop and advise leadership and other team members on approaches to resolve issues significantly impacting important policies or programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
