About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the Financial Management Analyst on the Internal Controls and Compliance team, Programs and Policy Division. They will provide advice and guidance as related to internal controls to ensure compliance with financial management and operations.

Duties

Conduct continuing high-level analyses of program effectiveness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and schedule adherence. Recommend corrective actions or resolve issues to the satisfaction of the Director. Advise on difficult financial situations or problems. Perform trend analysis to recommend process changes for program efficiency enhancement. Establish oversight for implementing key audit and internal controls. Serve as an action officer for financial management, focusing on Internal Controls and Audit Compliance. Assist higher level employees in developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing financial management controls. Mitigate potential loss due to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of government resources.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position may require some Temporary Duty (TDY) travel – approximately 15%.
• This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position.
• This position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
