This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command, Directorate of TCJ8. The incumbent will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Officer.

Duties
As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFICER at the GS-0501-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: and overseeing the activities of the Program Analysis and Financial Management Directorate (TCJ8).
Work with the Director in organizing and overseeing the activities of the Program Analysis and Financial Management Directorate (TCJ8).
Participate with the TCJ8 Director in the exercise of supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Advise USTRANSCOM Commander and TCJ8 Director on policies to streamline and increase efficiencies in resources that affect air, land and sea transportation and logistics.
Oversee USTRANSCOM development of TWCF budget estimates and execution.
Provide USTRANSCOM Commander with in-depth analysis of Service and component mobility programs.
Ensure USTRANSCOM's full complement of accounting operations comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Incumbent will be required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled government and/or commercial aircraft, and
other modes as required.
- Incumbent is expected to travel on short notice to attend high level meetings with Congressional Staffers, Office of
Management and Budget personnel, USTRANSCOM component commanders, other Commanders etc.

- - This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012,
Public Law 112-81 Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- This position is telework eligible on a situational or Ad Hoc basis. Telework eligible positions require at least 60% in office time. For those eligible and with supervisory approval, situational telework may be authorized as the mission permits.
- Work hours other than normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, may be required.
- Employee must obtain/maintain a Special Sensitive (SCI) Top Secret security clearance.
- Travel and relocation expenses, if approved, will be paid IAW JTR and AFMAN 36-606.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian
Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be
required to file annually.
- This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical function which must continue uninterrupted after the
occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Provide advice to senior leadership in regards to efficiencies and program alignment to organizational goals.
Analyze, evaluate, and review budget and program issues, manpower requirements, or financial data.
Utilize business tools and applications, cost and economic analysis methodologies, and performance metrics to provide recommended solutions
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
