Duties
Provide general information concerning fire operations, personnel management and office operations to the public both orally and in writing.
Facilitate annual training pertaining to administrative functions as part of the springtime preparedness.
Provide oversight and monitor expenditures within government guidelines for travel, time and attendance, charge cards and fire business functions.
Perform spot audits to ensure accuracy for various administrative functions.
Respond timely and accurately to requests for information both internal and external to the organization.
Requirements

Qualifications

For GS-06: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: customer service; performing data entry of payroll or travel; interpreting policy; safeguarding personally identifiable information.
For GS-07:You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: advising employees on payroll or travel regulations and assisting with travel vouchers; interpreting policy; distribution of and safeguarding personally identifiable information; implement process improvement; liaison work with other offices such as Human Resources, Contracting or other Interagency partners; distribution of new or updated policies and procedures to individuals or large groups of recipients.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
