Duties
As an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation) you will:
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/29/2023-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position performs typing, and the requirement of typing 40 WPM is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position.

To qualify for this position at the GS-5 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Education: Four years above high school in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. You must include a copy of your transcripts.
-OR-
Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes performing administrative support duties; preparing correspondence; using office procedures and equipment; using and maintaining physical and electronic filing systems; and meeting and dealing effectively with others. You must include months and hours worked per week in your resume.
-OR-
Combination of education and experience: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience. Education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must include a copy of your transcripts and months and hours worked per week in your resume.

To qualify for this position at the GS-6 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: accurate input into an automated financial system; making travel arrangements and preparing travel vouchers; verifying time and leave balances through an automated timecard system; and using and maintaining electronic data management systems. You must include months and hours per week worked in your resume.

To qualify for this position at the GS-7 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience includes providing a wide variety of detailed, complex administrative support services to enable efficient operation of a business or program office; tracking and reconciling fiscal data; purchasing office supplies; administering payroll and workers compensation; preparing human resource employment paperwork and orienting new employees. You must include months and hours per week worked in your resume.
