You will serve as an Administrative Assistant (OA) in the SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.
Duties
You will compile written reports to provide status updates.
You will operate automated computer systems to maintain and update electronic records and data.
You will answer inquiries of a general nature to make referrals to responsible staff members.
You will determine specific action to take to correct discrepancies, errors, or problems following instructions and procedures.
You will research rules, regulations, and procedures to resolve questions or issues.
You will compose correspondence (e.g., technical reports, presentations) observing proper format, grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
You will perform duties as a Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA)
You will ensure all documents and information for personnel and pay support are relayed to the appropriate supporting organization.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reading and interpreting DoD directives while applying guidelines to military personnel functional areas; 2) Applying principles and concepts of Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA) duties, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; 3) Operating automated pay and personnel systems for military personnel; and 4) Utilizing software similar to Microsoft Office to produce and edit correspondence and reports; and operating office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and other related office equipment.
