About the Position: Serves as a General Supply Specialist at a Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) Brigade performing a variety of supply functions. Work involves procurement and management of all types of supplies, facilities, vehicles, and certain services to the Brigade.

Duties

Serve as a General Supply Specialist performing a variety of supply functions. Maintain a library of required supply regulations. Perform work on the property book record system. Maintain contact with Primary Hand Receipt Holders (PHRH) in connection with property control functions.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Assisting with supply management activities such as: receiving, storing, and monitoring supplies; 2) Utilizing automated supply systems such as: Global Combat Systems-Army (GCSS-A); 3) Conducting inventories on assigned property; and 4) Applying organization supply policies to work processes. Education: Successfully completed a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Logistics Management, Supply Management, or Business Administration. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification). Combination of Education and Experience: The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and more than one year but less than the required education in B. Compute the percentage of the requirements, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Inventory ManagementOrganizational AwarenessSupply Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
