You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst (Materials) in the Production Division, Public Works Department Yorktown of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will apply comprehensive knowledge of warehouse storage and inventory, material issue and receiving. You will apply basic knowledge of hazardous material documentation requirements and shelf life. You will communicate with customers to include shop store personnel and trade mechanics/technicians. You will apply working knowledge of supply priorities and how they relate to meeting the material needs of the customers. You will perform supply functions in Maximo to include receiving, material issue and status updates. You will apply working knowledge of mandatory sources of supply, requisitioning, purchasing and hazmat requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You may at any time be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the NAVFAC MIDLANT serviced area.

Qualifications

For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying comprehensive knowledge of warehouse storage and inventory, material issue and receiving; 2) Applying basic knowledge of hazardous material documentation requirements and shelf life; 3) Communicating with customers to include shop store personnel and trade mechanics/technicians; 4) Applying working knowledge of supply priorities and how they relate to meeting the material needs of the customers. For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying comprehensive knowledge of purchase requests, purchase orders, supply/demand forecasting and causative research; 2) Performing supply functions in Maximo to include receiving, material issue and status updates; 3) Applying working knowledge of mandatory sources of supply, requisitioning, purchasing and hazmat requirements; 4) Communicating with both internal and external customers to include trade mechanics/technicians, vendors and management; 5) Applying working knowledge of procurement regulations as it relates to purchasing thresholds and funding. Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education

OR

Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience

For the GS-09: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
