The incumbent serves as a first line Office of Personnel (OPE) supervisor accountable for guiding and directing a team of analysts in implementing SSA's Security and Suitability program for contractors and/or prospective SSA employees.

Participates in developing objectives, priorities, and procedures for assigned segment of SSA’s Personnel Security and Suitability program; ensures proper coordination and cooperation of subordinate team(s) and staff members.
Oversees and evaluates various aspects of the security and suitability programs for effectiveness. Establishes and implements well-organized and efficient processing procedures. Makes suggestions for improvements in the security and...

Qualifications
WHO MAY APPLY: Applications will only be accepted from applicants eligible for one of the following categories.

HOW TO QUALIFY: Eligible applicants must meet the following qualification requirements.
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include work that involves applying suitability-related policy according to processing procedures, AND working on a team on personnel security OR suitability programs.

The specialized experience is REQUIRED and must be explicitly documented/described in your résumé or you will be disqualified from further consideration.
