This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for positions designated as DoD Prevention workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Join Staff, NGB-J1, Manpower and Personnel Directorate, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct the activities of the National Guard SAPR Program and other programs. Coordinate and conducts SAPR Joint Monthly Teleconference with state Lead SARCs, Wing SARCs, BDE SARCs, and VAs. Develop and execute policies, programs, and procedures to implement the SAPR Program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Requires successful completion of an 80 SAPR training course and completion of all requirements to obtain DOD Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • May be required to carry cell phone to respond to inquiries of SAPR.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.
  • Receipt of a Favorable Adjudication of National Agency Background Check against all records as required by law, OPM, DOD, Army, NGB, policy and regulation will be conducted,
  • CONTINUE: prior to entering on duty in the position and, IAW governing regulations, on a recurring basis while employed in the position.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Individuals Must have IOR basic requirements: Degree: Bachelor's degree or higher in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major field OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Addition to meeting the Basic Requirements above you must also meet the specialized experience below. Specialized Experience is defined as: Develop detailed program plans that directs activities of the sexual assault program to ensure goals are met; Oversee the development of human resources impacting the full range of victim support and advocacy programs; Guarantee sexual assault cases are uploaded in Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID) within 48-Hours at the time of report. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-12 or equivalent).
