As a Law Enforcement Specialist (Instructor Transortation) with the U.S. Secret Service, Office of Training, James J. Rowley Training Center, you will play an integral part in providing specialized training to basic recruits and sworn law enforcement professionals of an elite law enforcement agency charged with criminal investigations and protecting world leaders. Duties
U.S. Secret Service is seeking retired (CSRS/FERS) individuals to support our integrated mission and immediately impart their knowledge and experience to the current workforce. If re-employed under a Dual Compensation Hiring Authority with an OPM approved salary off-set waiver granted to the Secret Service, annuitants are able to earn their full salary and their full annuity without penalty.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
Qualifications
Specialized experience: You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties that must demonstrate: having experience working with law enforcement agencies; having driving instructor experience (e.g., instructing motor vehicle dynamics and operations) with a local, state, or federal agency, or the Department of Defense; and designing, developing and executing work process for instructional courses and practical application.
