As a Law Enforcement Specialist (Instructor Uniformed Division) with the U.S. Secret Service, Office of Training, James J. Rowley Training Center, you will play an integral part in providing specialized training to basic recruits and sworn law enforcement professionals of an elite law enforcement agency charged with criminal investigations and protecting world leaders. Duties
U.S. Secret Service is seeking retired (CSRS/FERS) individuals to support our integrated mission and immediately impart their knowledge and experience to the current workforce. If re-employed under a Dual Compensation Hiring Authority with an OPM approved salary off-set waiver granted to the Secret Service, annuitants are able to earn their full salary and their full annuity without penalty.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
Qualifications
Specialized experience: You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $112,015) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties that must demonstrate: designing, developing, and executing processed for instructional courses and practical application; having experience in the application of police tactics and techniques (e.g., use of force, crowd control, or public safety); and, conducting operational experience in procedures relating to protection, such as the operation of magnetometers, physical security, access control, or event security.
