This position is located at the VA St. Louis Healthcare System in St. Louis, MO. The position works with the VTS Supervisory Mobility Manager for transportation workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, and quality improvement implementation, modification of processes, evaluation and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Transportation Services program.
Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performs work involving consult management, appointment scheduling, and transportation scheduling;
Collects, compiles, and tracks data and statistical information;
Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports;
Enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system;
Coordinates service practices that decrease waits and delays for patients in all specialty areas;
Plans consult processing flow to ensure veterans receive consultation services in a timely manner;
Coordinates the day-to-day operation of VTS program flow, processes, and functions;
Plans and provides support services in the following types of program areas: electronic records management; driver scheduling setup & management; space utilization services;
Performs other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; Work schedule hours will be discussed during the interview process

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes coordinating transportation/travel arrangements; determining eligibility for services; ensuring all administrative criteria is met prior to issuing an authorization; coordinating daily operations and managing workflow; and using a variety of computer applications. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Physical Requirements: There is exposure to stressful working situations that require a professional attitude and collective reasoning. The incumbent is subject to a high volume of work, the need for accuracy, frequency of interruptions and ever-changing demands due to program changes. Duties will be predominantly performed in the Veteran Transportation Service program office with intermittent trips to various locations throughout the Medical Center's catchment area both in and near patient care areas where there may be risk of exposure to disease.
