As a Reasonable Accommodation Program Analyst within the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO), you will work closely with the Executive Director of Policy, Planning and Analysis to provide leadership, program management, and subject matter expertise on medical and religious Reasonable Accommodation requests.

Duties

Lead and coordinate development of NASA policies and procedures related to NASA’s Reasonable Accommodation (RA) program, for medical and religious accommodations. Provide expert advice to managers and employees on Reasonable Accommodation related matters including plans, policies, and decisions for both medical and religious requests. Lead team decision-making efforts on Reasonable Accommodation/Accessibility program operations oversight (e.g., leading a community of practice, strategy and policy development, analysis and support of team performance and goal achievement). Research and apply a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and recommend improvements for program and team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. Process, monitor, and draft correspondences on Reasonable Accommodation and/or Accessibility requests pursuant to the Executive Orders, EEOC's guidance, the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and established case precedent. Design, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of orientations, trainings, and other educational components, to provide program participants an understanding of the Reasonable Accommodation process and support NASA’s compliance efforts. Oversee contracts and data systems associated with the Reasonable Accommodation program. Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Requirements

  • Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
  • Financial Disclosure, Drug Testing, and/or the Travel Requirements for this position may differ and be required based on the duty location/NASA Center requirements.
  • Position subject to pre-employment background investigation or higher level clearance. Investigation/Clearance may differ and be required based on the duties/location-NASA Center requirements.
  • Duty location will be determined upon selection, selectee(s) will remain at their current duty location.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Providing guidance and consultation for Reasonable Accommodations/Accessibility requests ensuring adherence to applicable policies, such as Executive Orders, EEOC guidance, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, case precedent, and agency procedures; Developing and delivering Reasonable Accommodation related training; Conducting program or project performance evaluation and providing recommendations for improvement and issue resolution.
